Wedding Transportation: The Basics

If you are in the midst of planning your wedding, you know how hard that job can be. Good weddings are only good because an extreme amount of meticulous planning and preparation go into the entire day and night. Next time you're at a wonderful wedding, consider how much time and stress was put into that day to make it perfect. One very important aspect of your wedding will most certainly be transportation. How will you decide to transport yourself and your entire wedding party (parents included) to the wedding and the reception? Do you have a preference on the type of transportation you will use?

Wedding Transportation

Some people want to rent an old fashioned car with the traditional "Just Married" sign hanging from the bumper. Other people prefer to travel in a stretch limo to have as much romantic time with their new spouse. No matter what your preference is, make sure to make these transportation plans far enough in advance so that you won't have to worry about a shortage come the big day. You will want to have at least three vehicles. There shoudl be one vehicle for the women before the wedding, one vehicle for the men before the wedding and the parents of the bride and groom should have their own as well. Then, after the wedding, the bride and groom should have their own limo (for obvious reasons) and the wedding party should hop into either leftover limo or vehicle. This would be the traditional way to carry out transportation.

Maybe you are interested in carrying out something a little more memorable. Perhaps a horse drawn carriage would be something that you would be interested in. If you want to use such a mode of transportation, will it only be the newlyweds using it or will the entire wedding party be involved? These are all aspects of planning the day's mode of transportation.

There are so many important aspects to your future wedding day, some small details are easily pushed to the wayside. Just remember how important transportation on your wedding day can be. You want to use someone that is reliable and in your budget. Taking these important steps in planning will ensure that your day go exactly as you imagined. It's always the small details that make or break this big day. Make sure to put plenty of time and planning into choosing the right mode of transportation for your big day. It is almost as important as the photographer.
