Wedding Planning-12-Month Wedding Calendar

The secret to a successful wedding is planning everything early and giving yourself a few months to tweak the plans you have made in the previous months. If you are planning on a wedding for a year from now than you have twelve months to plan and prepare for your wedding. The steps are as follows:

Tired Bride

The first thing that needs to be done is a budget needs to be made up. You have to determine how much money you have to work with. This will give you an idea of how much you can afford to spend on everything. The second order of business is to put the wedding rings on order. Then start the research for where you would like to have your wedding, visit each venue and once you have decided put a deposit down right away.

Once you have that out of the way it's time to decide on your flowers and your cake. This may take a little time, but don't worry you started early so you have time to decide. Taste everything and always bring along friends to taste things to. Once you have decided on your cake put a deposit down. The next thing is to decide on the flowers, be creative but reasonable. Try to get as many package deals as you can, this will reduce the cost of individual item purchases.

The next thing to plan is the guest list, the menu, and the wedding party. Sit down and decide who you want at your wedding, which the bridesmaids are going to be. Once that is decided, pick out the bridesmaids dresses and then try and decide on your wedding dress. Make several choices, always have a backup dress and always purchase your dress with a credit card just in case something happens and you have to return the dress or get your money back. Then you need to decide on the music, photographer, or videographer. The menu should be catered toward all guest, meat eaters and vegetarians.

Once all of this is decided than the invitations can be selected and sent out. Always give the guest time to rsvp. Send the invitations out in ample time, maybe a month or two before the wedding. Things like the registry can always be done on line by you or your bridesmaid. I know from personal experience that pre planning will pay off in the end. This can all be done within the first six-8 months of the year.
