When it comes to the food, this should be a catered event rather than one you choose to cook yourself. It is nearly impossible to create hot food on the day of your wedding as you're busy with the event yourself and there just is not enough time to do it all. Hire professionals to take care of the work for you, even if it is more expensive than having family members do it for you. You'll also want to choose a venue that is used to having weddings rather than trying to save money and have it in a backyard or a park.
