Candle centerpieces

The nice thing about making your own centerpiece is that it can be as unique and custom designed as you want. You are not restricted by pre-made pieces or snooty flower designers. One woman absolutely adored daisies and wanted to use them in her centerpieces. Her wedding planner told her that daisies were cheap looking and unstylish, and encouraged her to use roses instead. Upon finding that the planner was unhelpful and dismissive, the woman decided to create her own centerpieces without the planner's input. The centerpieces turned out beautiful. Several guests commented on how unique the centerpieces were and how nice it was not to have to look at another bunch of roses.

If you are planning make flower centerpieces, the first thing you need to do is decide what flowers you want to use. Do you want to use fresh flowers or artificial ones? Should they match your wedding bouquet or not? How much do you want to spend? You should also ask yourself if you want to put the flowers in a vase or use green floral foam. Do you want the vase to show? What kind of vase should you use?

Next, you need to think about how the flowers will be arranged. You may want to consider attending a flower arranging class. There are several basic arrangements you can consider. The simplest one is a single long stemmed flower in a tall vase. A more complicated arrangement is a full bouquet made out of different kinds of flowers.

Once you have finished arranging the flowers, you can focus on the little details. Check to see if all the flowers have been inserted correctly and that there are no unsightly leaves or branches sticking out anywhere. You may want to consider whether you should add a candle to the arrangement. Scattered flower petals or glitter can be the perfect final touch.

Once the wedding is over, guests can take home the centerpieces. This serves the double purpose of freeing you from the need to dispose of them and providing the guests with a nice party favor.
