The Perfect Wedding Is Doing It Your Way in Hawaii

Create a distinctive and unique day by having your dream wedding in Hawaii.

That's not to say that there is anything wrong of the traditional wedding ceremony and reception. But having a wedding in Hawaii allows you to be carefree, unique and special way to say "I do." Surprisingly, a wedding in Hawaii costs much less than planning a conventional wedding back home.

Hawaii Beach Wedding

Your wedding can be customized, whether a private affair or a guest list of 300. Optional wedding styles can include being barefoot on the beach, a formal wedding with a contemporary wedding gown or a traditional Hawaiian wedding. The latter will have you arrive to your ceremony in an Outrigger canoe and announced by use of the Pu or conch shell.

Imagine that picture perfect backdrop of getting married on a mountain top, in a tropical garden, along sunset beaches, private estates or even on a submarine.

The dilemma will be not only the type of wedding but where to hold this grand event.

Big Island of Hawaii:

Experience a magnificent sunset in a very peaceful atmosphere and intimate setting atop lava cliffs with breathtaking views of the azure Pacific and coastline below. Or face balmy breezes and views of the Big Island by having a wedding aboard a chartered boat.

Maui:

Imagine your wedding at the summit of Haleakala, the world's largest dormant volcano or along white, sandy and secluded beaches along Maui's shores. If flowers appeal to you, try surrounding yourself by gorgeous tropical fauna at Maui Tropical Plantation placed against majestic West Maui Mountains.

Kauai:

Capture the ambience of Kauai with lush foliage, waterfalls and swaying palms. It is as close as you can get to Shangri-La. After all, this is the island where "South Pacific" was filmed.

On a personal note, my husband and I had exchanged vows in Maui. A more blissful wedding was never to be had. The setting alone would out shine any catering hall and the flowers glistened as did I. The minister spoke and the violinist serenaded us with romantic music of my personal favorites. The tropical floral in all color schemes surrounded us. The photographer was very discreet and yet captured amazing scenes of the ceremony.

Dinner was served on the banks of the Pacific with a magnificent sunset as an added bonus. It was 5 Star dining with our own private chef. The table settings had the finest china, crystal and centerpieces. The food was cooked to order and consisted of several courses. We had musicians playing soft music as we drank our champagne and relished our special day. Afterwards, we cut our macadamia wedding cake and were able to spend several hours along the shore with fresh fruit while dancing to the soft music under the stars.

Hawaii offers the most lush and beautiful islands in the world. Why deal with florists, caterers, photographers, in-laws, and extra time needed and unforeseen problems when it can all be taken care of by your wedding planner? Consider Hawaii as the ideal spot for your wedding.
