European Wedding Venues

What could possibly be more romantic and perfect, then holding your European wedding in one of the many historical castles that are spread throughout the Country? So many have been renovated during the past few years, and although they still hold the same centuries old charm, they are now modern enough to create the perfect European wedding setting. Having your wedding ceremony in either of the following castles, would prove to be a life-long wonderful memory, for not only the couple themselves, but their guests also.

European Wedding

The first castle I found that offers wedding ceremonies is called The Cloncaird Castle. It is located in the country, near Ayrshire, in South West Scotland. It dates back to at least 1530, where a battle was fought between two families living on opposite sides of the river. The castle is set on 140 acres, along with the cottages that are also part of the property. It has been given a Five Star rating, and is beautifully decorated inside. There are many other smaller castles nearby that you and your wedding guests can visit, including the nearby Culzean Castle. They offer hill walking tours, or you can enjoy the sandy beaches or riverside paths. They also have beautiful gardens, and state that it's a great place for bird watching.

Secondly is the Waterford Castle in Ireland. This castle is an excellent choice for your European wedding ceremony. It is located on an island, three miles from Waterford City, which is 2-1/2 hours away from Dublin City. This castle dates back to the 16th century , with the island it sits on, being recorded as early as the 11th century. The castle is surrounded by woods. There is a wedding co- coordinator on site to help with any plans you might require assistance with. To reach the castle, there is a car ferry that operates 24 hours a day. The island is within a short drive from Waterford City Center, and the world renowned Crystal Factory is a 15 minute trip away. Also included on the castle grounds, are a 19 bedroom luxury hotel, and an 18 hole championship golf course, which might prove entertaining to some of your wedding guests. The castle is decorated with traditional fabrics, antiques and furnishings.

If you are looking for a "Dream Come true" European wedding setting, either of these just might prove to be your special spot.
